Learning Support Assistant

Location: Southampton side of the New Forest
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £13.75 per hour
Contract: Full time Through Teaching Personnel
Are you a caring and dedicated individual looking to make a difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join a warm and supportive Primary School based on the Southampton side of the New Forest.
This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to access learning and reach their full potential within a nurturing school environment.
The Role:
- Supporting individual pupils or small groups with additional needs
- Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging learning activities
- Promoting independence, inclusion, and positive behaviour
- Providing emotional and social support to pupils as needed
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people (school or care setting experience desirable)
- A patient, compassionate, and resilient attitude
- Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
- Driving licence desirable due to location, but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
