Learning Support Assistant – 1:1 Support – Autumn Term

Location: Hedge End
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, Autumn Term

Are you a passionate and proactive Learning Support Assistant looking for your next opportunity this autumn?

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a welcoming primary school in the [insert area] who are seeking a committed LSA to provide 1:1 support for a pupil requiring additional guidance and consistency throughout the school day.

About the Role:

This full-time role involves working closely with a child who benefits from a tailored, nurturing approach to their learning. You’ll be providing support across both academic and social areas, helping the pupil to engage positively in classroom activities and manage any challenges that arise.

You’ll be supported by a friendly team and have access to ongoing guidance from both the school’s SENCO and Teaching Personnel.

We’re Looking For:

  • A positive and patient individual with a genuine interest in helping children thrive

  • Someone with experience working in a classroom or care-based environment (school experience is ideal but not essential)

  • Strong communication skills and a calm, supportive approach

  • A team player who can build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

Requirements:

  • Full-time availability (Monday–Friday, term time only)

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one)

  • Right to work in the UK

  • References covering the last 2 years
