Learning Support Assistant – SEN Secondary School (Havant)

Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support students at a welcoming SEN secondary school in Havant. This is a full-time temporary role, perfect for someone passionate about helping young people with additional needs succeed in a supportive and inclusive environment.
About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students aged 11–16 with a range of needs, including autism (ASC), learning difficulties, and SEMH.

Work closely with the classroom teacher to adapt resources and ensure lessons are accessible for all learners.

Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and independence.
-
Encourage students to build confidence and develop key social skills.
-
Contribute to a safe, encouraging, and inclusive school atmosphere.
What We’re Looking For

Experience supporting children or young people (school-based experience is beneficial but not essential).

A patient, calm, and proactive approach.
-
A strong interest in SEN education and pupil development.
-
Reliable, enthusiastic, and able to commit to a full-time temporary role.

Available to start ASAP.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
