Learning Support Assistant – SEMH Secondary Schools (Eastleigh)
Pay: £13.75 per hour

Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work in SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) secondary schools in Eastleigh. This is a rewarding opportunity for anyone passionate about supporting young people with additional needs.
About the Role

Support students with SEMH needs in a secondary school setting.

Work 1:1 or in small groups to help pupils access learning and develop social skills.

Assist class teachers in creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Promote independence, confidence, and emotional well-being.

Provide behavioural and pastoral support as needed.
Requirements

Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience preferred but not essential).

A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.

A genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs.

Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff.

A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
