Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work in SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) secondary schools in Eastleigh. This is a rewarding opportunity for anyone passionate about supporting young people with additional needs.

About the Role

• Support students with SEMH needs in a secondary school setting.

• Work 1:1 or in small groups to help pupils access learning and develop social skills.

• Assist class teachers in creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

• Promote independence, confidence, and emotional well-being.

• Provide behavioural and pastoral support as needed.

Requirements

• Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience preferred but not essential).

• A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.

• A genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs.

• Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff.

• A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
