Are you passionate about transforming young lives and confident in supporting pupils with challenging behaviour? We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist education setting in Bournemouth, working with students who require consistent, personalised support to thrive both academically and emotionally.

In this role, you will:

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils who present behavioural, social, and emotional needs
  • Support learning alongside teachers and behaviour leads, adapting strategies to meet individual needs
  • Use de-escalation techniques, positive reinforcement, and structured routines to guide pupils through difficult moments
  • Help create a safe, nurturing environment where every child feels understood and supported
  • Work collaboratively with a skilled team dedicated to behaviour support and holistic development

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with challenging behaviour in a school, care, youth work, or similar environment
  • A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach
  • Confidence managing behaviour using positive, proactive strategies
  • A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential
  • The ability to stay patient, consistent, and solution-focused under pressure
