Ad-Hoc Learning Support Assistant (SEN)

About the Role
Teaching Personnel are seeking flexible, committed Learning Support Assistants to support SEN schools across the Basingstoke area on an ad-hoc basis. This is a great opportunity for those looking for varied day-to-day or short-term work while making a positive impact on pupils with additional learning needs.
You will support children with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD/SLD, physical disabilities, and communication difficulties.
Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 or small-group support to pupils with SEN

Assist with daily classroom tasks and learning activities
-
Support pupils’ emotional regulation and behaviour
-
Build supportive, trusting relationships with students
-
Adapt your approach to meet individual learning and sensory needs

Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and the wider school team
Requirements
-
Experience working with children or young people (SEN experience desirable)
-
A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel)
-
Flexibility to accept short-notice bookings
-
Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
