Learning Support Assistant
Teaching personnel are looking for learning support assistant to work in a fast paced and exciting SEN school within Plymouth. The role will start April 2024 with working hours Monday – Friday 8:30am – 3:30pm
The school have a smaller approach to learning with fewer pupils in a class or 1:1 support on site. You’ll access learning and take part in a wide range of activities both in and outside of the school site. This is a perfect opportunity to gain significant experience within a griping educational setting.
Role Responsibilities:
- Working with children in the classroom and in the surrounding community helping them access education
- Collaboratively working with other support assistants and teachers to deliver fulfilling educational sessions
- Supporting students reach their potential through small groups and 1:1 sessions
Required Skills:
- Proactive member of staff able to think on their feet
- Experience working with SEMH needs
- Work well in a team
- Proficient in behaviour management
- Level 3 driver
- Previous experience in youth work, sports coaching or intervention work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
