Secondary schools in Tameside are looking for Teaching Assistants and Learning Mentors to support students with Special Educational Needs, social emotional or behavioural difficulties.

If you are currently working as a teaching assistant, or have experience in a care or youth work role we welcome your application. We have positions that are part time, full time, temporary and permanent roles. Working in a Secondary school as a teaching assistant/learning mentor is an extremely rewarding career to enhance a young person's academic achievements and enjoyment in education.

You will work alongside the schools SEN department and given every opportunity for career development through training course opportunities.
