Job description

A full time position for a Learning Mentor commencing in September 2018. This particular position is commencing in September and runs until the end of the next academic year (July 2018). If you are recent graduate, who has a desire to grow a career in the field of education, this could be the perfect role for you.

This particular Setting is based in Manchester and is a Specialist Provision which caters solely for pupils with high and low functioning ASC. The School caters for pupils 4 - 19 and has a total of 171 pupils currently enrolled. The Setting are currently seeking an experienced Learning Mentor who can work closely with vulnerable pupils and provide them with the appropriate pastoral support.

In order to be considered for this position you should have:

- Experience working within a School (desirable)

- The ability to build effective working relationships with pupils who display signs of challenging behaviour

- Experience of delivering targeted interventions to pupils with additional needs (desirable)

- A commitment to supporting the holistic development of all pupils

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
