Job description

A full time position for a Learning Mentor commencing in September 2018. This position is initially temporary and will involve working from September 2018 - July 2019. There could potentially be a longer term position dependent on the needs of the Setting.

The Setting is based in Oldham and caters for pupils with a variety needs including those with: very profound learning difficulties, behavioural needs and those with SEMH needs. This position would be ideal for a graduate who has significant experience working with pupils who display signs of challenging behaviour.

As a Learning Mentor your roles and responsibilities will include:

- Providing direct support to pupils with additional needs

- Supporting class Teachers as and where directed

- Providing specialist intervention to support the development of pupils with additional needs

The Head Teacher is looking to meet Learning Mentors as soon as possible so if you are due to graduate or have already graduated and feel that you have the appropriate skills to succeed as a Learning Mentor please apply directly.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
