A Specialist Provision situated in Oldham are looking appoint a Learning Mentor. This particular Setting is based in Oldham so would be suitable for Learning Mentors who are located in or around the Oldham Borough are looking for an exciting new opportunity.

The School is an Outstanding Provision which is located in Oldham. The School currently caters for pupils with a wide range of needs including: those with very profound difficulties (i.e wheelchairs) moderate, severe or profound multiple learning difficulties. In its most recent 2016 inspection the School was graded as outstanding by OFSTED. Due to the specific needs of the pupil the Teaching Assistant should have an understanding of how to cater for young people with various needs.

This role will involve working directly with pupils who have difficulties challenging their emotions so it would be ideal for applicants to have experience whether it be personal or professional in working with individuals who have SEMH needs. In order to be considered for the role the Learning Mentor will have:

- A desire to pursue a career in education

- Experience in working within individuals with SEMH needs

- A commitment to assuring the safety and welfare of children and young people

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
