Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Location: West Midlands, Birmingham, B8

Job Type: Contract, full-time hours

Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in primary education

Key Skills:

  • Intervention experience
  • Supporting small groups
  • Experience across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2)
  • Flexible and adaptable

Job Description:

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a school in B8, Birmingham, seeking a Learning Support Assistant to provide intervention support. The ideal candidate must have completed their Early Career Teacher (ECT) period and possess experience working across both KS1 and KS2.

Job Duties:

  • Provide intervention support to students
  • Support small groups in various subjects
  • Assist with educational activities across KS1 and KS2
  • Be flexible and willing to adapt to changing needs

Experience:

Experience in providing intervention support and working with small groups

Strong understanding of primary education curriculum across KS1 and KS2

Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs

Additional training in special educational needs (SEN) is desirable

Working Conditions:

This role may involve working in a fast-paced and dynamic school environment where tasks can vary daily. The ability to be flexible and collaborative is essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
