Job description

Learning Mentor required September 2018.

Teaching Personnel are looking for a committed Learning Mentor to support student pastoral care and intervention in an ASC provision within a large mainstream secondary school in Barnsley.

Are you passionate about children achieving their potential, regardless of background? Are you good at working with challenging behaviour and can you help engage learners in education?

You will take responsibility for identifying and supporting students at risk of underachievement, securing the best possible outcomes for them.

If you are passionate about improving the life chances of all children and are able to inspire and motivate others to do the same, then this is the for you!

  • Pay rates of up to £70 per day dependant on experience
  • Supportive department with over 20 years experience
  • Excellent transport links from the city centre
  • Opportunity for a permanent contract at christmas

Ideally you shall have experience of working with groups of SEN children and able to support children with Literacy, including Phonics, and Maths.
