Job description

Fixed term Learning Mentor required from January 2019 full time till the end of the academic year within a Dynamic Salford Secondary school.

  • Learning Mentor required on a full time basis, from January 2019.
  • Initially on a temporary fixed term basis with the potential to progress for the successful Learning Mentor on to a permanent contract.
  • Opportunity to make a difference within a renowned inner city Salford Secondary school.
  • Must have experience working with hard to reach young people to be considered due to the nature of the role.
  • Earn up to £1350+ per month dependant upon previous experience.

The responsibilities for the successful Learning Mentor will include;

  • Work alongside the SEN team working with class teachers and Senior Leadership within the classroom and inclusion settings.
  • Mentor identified pupils on a 1:1 intervention basis supporting the teaching and learning of select pupils across the school.
  • Deliver classes in order to allow teachers to take time to plan and mark work, and also cover absences for teachers where required.

Located in the Worsley region of Salford this growing Secondary school has just over 800 pupils on roll the school is situated across two grounds. It is easily accessible via the M60/ A580 (East Lancashire Road) as well as the surrounding areas; Bury, Bolton and Wigan. There are also numerous public transport links readily available with links across Greater Manchester.
