Do you have experience of supporting pupils with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties? Are you confident in working with children who have learning difficulties? If so, we need to hear from you!
We are proudly recruiting for one of our client secondary schools located in the Rochdale area who are seeking to hire a Learning Mentor to support its pupils. The suitable selected candidate must have recent experience of working with young people, aged 11 - 16 years old. This can be in any setting however, school experience is preferred.
Highlights of the role:
- Earnings up to GBP350 per week
- Weekly pay via PAYE
- Temporary – permanent contract
- ASAP start date
You will be working with pupils across both KS3+4. Your day will include, supporting children in the classroom and outside of the classroom who are disengaged and find learning to be difficult. You will be required to work with pupils on a one-to-one basis as well as groups and support these pupils to take part in as much learning as possible, as well as caring for their well-being needs.
The ideal candidate will:
• Teaching assistant qualification, educational based degree or at least 6 months experience working with young people
• Experience working with children who display challenging behaviour
• Have a calm and caring approach to teaching
• Be confident building positive relationships with pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds to help them progress both socially and academically

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
