Located just 5 mins from West Ealing station, an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' primary, secondary and Post-16 school supporting pupils with behavioural, social and emotional difficulties are looking for learning mentors, youth workers and support workers to start full-time after the Easter holidays.

The learning mentor role involves supporting either a primary or secondary class of pupils with complex behavioural needs in class and across the school 1:1, 2:1 and in small groups. This additionally will include behaviour management, developing behaviour plans, adapting lessons, creating innovative resources, report taking, liaising with therapists and overall support of pupils in your care.

This is challenging and rewarding role with a 20 week Temporary to Permanent process for successful candidates.

You will ideally need to:

  • Live in West Ealing or surrounding areas
  • Be able to work full-time during school term time times
  • Previous experience working as youth worker, support worker or mentor supporting young people with challenging behaviours or mental health difficulties
  • School based experience in mainstream schools, PRUs and/or specialist provisions within the last 3 years
  • Confidence in behaviour management
  • Confidence in dealing with pupils with a variety of educational needs
  • Confidence supporting in Maths, English and humanities

Additional experience/training preferred for this role:

  • Team Teach, Physical Intervention, NAPPI, MAPA de-escalation training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
