Job description

Teaching Personnel is working on behalf of a Burscough Secondary School seeking to appoint a talented, creative and inspirational Teacher of English to take on the role of Lead Practitioner for the English Department from September 2018. The school is a thriving and rapidly improving school with a vision for achieving excellence!

As the lead within English faculty you will work closely with a committed team in ensuring the students are inspired by developing outstanding classroom practices, continually developing new and creative ideas and sharing good practices with your colleagues. You will have high aspirations for all students and be expected to develop and review schemes of work, identifying and reducing any gaps in attainment of underachieving students and ensuring progression for the classes you teach.
