LE4 SEN Teaching Assistant

Job description

An 'outstanding' school in Leicestershire are looking to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant. The role will involve supporting a pupil 1:1. They are looking for someone who can deal with a range of special education needs. Experience with disabilities is desirable but personal experience is also of relevance. This is a full-time position due to start as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will:

- Have experience dealing with complex behaviour needs

- Be enthusiastic and motivated in providing a fun and engaging learning environment

- Have experience in a SEN setting

- Committed to working during school hours starting at 8:30am until 3:30pm

- Motivate SEN pupils to reach their potential

- Be committed to the welfare of children

- Be a patient, caring and outgoing individual who always acts to safeguard pupils at all times

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
