Lancaster School requires Support Assistant!

Job description

Teaching Personnel work closely with a Lancaster based SEN School which requires Support Assistants to work with their pupils who have SEMH Difficulties, Autism, Learning Difficulties and pupils who display challenging behaviours. The School is smaller than average and currently caters for approximately 45 pupils. The School cater for pupils who struggle to remain in mainstream education and it is therefore crucial that candidates are empathetic, hard working, have strong behaviour management skills and seeking a role where they can make a difference in pupils' lives.

The candidate suited for this role will have experience supporting pupils with SEMH Difficulties, Autism and be willing to work with pupils who are challenging in their behaviours. The candidate will ideally hold their Team Teach qualification but this is not essential.

The role will be full time from ASAP! The role will require you to support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis and be looking for a long term role in a forward thinking School!

The successful candidate will benefit from:

- Negotiable pay rates £54 - 64 per day

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
