We are looking for tutors to work proactively with schools to ensure the needs of their LAC pupils are met. Due to the recent COVID lockdowns many LAC pupils who were due to return to school following breaks from education have had this start date pushed back are in need of continuing temporary education.
Your role as a tutor would work with the local virtual school and parents to ensure a tailored program of tuition is delivered to pupils on an either 1:1 or small group basis. There are additional opportunities for online and in home tuition for pupils not being able to access mainstream education.
The ideal LAC tutor would have:
- A Teaching Qualification/ tutoring Experience
- Experience of working with LAC pupils.
- Experience of supporting young people 1:1
- Flexibility and Adaptability
These schools are located in the Manchester area which has an excellent public transport system and road travel.
In addition, you will need to complete all necessary vetting checks including proof of identity, a DBS on the Update Service and producing two recent references. You will also be provided with free CPD and safeguarding to ensure you are fully prepared for your role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
