KS3 Science teacher

Supply opportunity for a Science teacher to deliver KS3 Science on a long term, full time basis in Manchester. Due to an internal promotion and staffing restructure, the school wish to employ a Science teacher on a full time basis to teach a variety of KS3 classes. This will involve both full class teaching and also Intervention support for children identified for additional support within Science.

  • KS3 Science teacher, full time supply position
  • South Manchester school, well located close to M60/M56
  • Immediate start, working in a supportive Science department
  • Initially until Easter with the potential to continue until July 2018
  • Supply rate to match your experience (MPS1-6)
  • Reduced responsibilities teaching only KS3 with full support

This is an excellent opportunity to teach Science on a full time basis with reduced workload in a supportive environment. Roughly one day of the timetable will be Intervention and group teaching, with the rest made up of KS3 Science classes, teaching a senior member of staffs timetable. This is an average sized mixed 11-16 secondary, serving a diverse and vibrant catchment area of Manchester. Situated in south Manchester (M23) and boasting excellent facilities, you'll have full support from the Science department including 2 technicians, the post is more situated to an experienced Science teacher, however newly qualified teachers are also welcome to apply.
