Are you seeking a Teaching assistant role in the Preston area?

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a successful 11-16 Secondary School in Preston which are looking to enhance their support team.

The successful applicant will work collaboratively with Teachers to meet the personal, social and curriculum needs. This includes pupil with special needs and/or bilingual needs. It is vital that the candidate is able to establish positive, supportive and constructive relationships with pupils, parents, carers and the wider community. The support assistant will assist with the planning, delivery and evaluation of the curriculum and differentiation amongst pupils.

You would be expected to:

  • Plan and implement teaching and learning activities to individuals and groups
  • Undertake supervisory cover for classes as appropriate.
  • The support workers in School who are encouraged to take a creative approach, seeking ways to positively engage with and motivate pupils through lessons that promote learning and raise levels of attainment.
  • Assist/ deliver extra curricular activities

They are seeking to recruit support staff starting immediately. Initially this will be on a temporary basis, however pending staff evaluations for September; a permanent position may be made available.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
