KS3/4 SEND Teacher - Hexham

Job description

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an OFSTED Outstanding SEND School in Hexham, to recruit a full time KS3/4 Teacher, likely on a permanent basis. The candidate will be placed as part of a welcoming team of experienced staff, including Teaching Assistants and Support Specialist for a Secondary class working closely with students with ASC, PMLD and SLD. The school is passionate about preparing students for opportunities outside of school, so the role will involve teaching Life Skills to the students as well as curriculum based knowledge. Due to the schools fantastic facilities, including a sensory garden, the candidate will also be participating in activities and lessons outdoors.

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated candidate to fill this role; ideally you will have experience working with SEN students in an educational environment. The candidate will benefit from access to Teaching Personnel's exceptional CPD training programmes and competitive daily rates.

Ideally, the candidate will have:

-At least six months experience in an SEND environment
-Qualified Teacher Status
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- A patient and caring attitude

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
