KS3/4 SEMH Part Time Teaching Assistant - Middlesbrough

Teaching Personnel are working closely with an SEND provision in Middlesbrough to recruit a part time Teaching Assistant for Key Stages 3 and 4. The position will be on a temporary basis, although there is strong potential for a permanent contract to the right contract and the candidate will receive up for £65 per full day worked. A Team Teach Qualification is desirable for this role although it is not mandatory.

The role will consist of working on a small group basis with students with SEMH, assisting the class teacher with improving classroom focus and behaviour. You will have the support of a team of experienced SEN teachers and teaching assistants, the role will involve encouraging students to prepare for life after education as the school has a strong focus on life skills and reaching employment.

The ideal candidate will have:

- At least three months SEND experience

- An understanding of SEMH

- Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or relevant experience)

- Excellent behaviour management skills

- A patient and caring attitude
