Job description

The teachers and governors of a fantastic primary school in Ammanford are looking to appoint a motivated and forward thinking Welsh medium primary teacher to join in KS2, the class is a mix of year 4 and 5 and so they are looking for someone with experience across KS2 and Foundation Phase. With 2 learning support assistants in the class you would be expected to utilise them to maintain the standards expected from the school.

Candidates more likely to be shortlisted;

  • Fluent Welsh Speaker
  • Holds UK QTS status
  • Have prior experience of teaching in KS2
  • Strong behaviour and classroom management
  • Confident and enthusiastic in all tasks
  • Be able to plan innovative and stimulating lessons

Applicants must;

  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
  • Hold a Child Workforce Only DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one - full assistance provided)
  • Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (compulsory requirement in Wales) -
  • Provide two professional or character references
  • Be available to interview and/or trial asap
  • Be available to start on short notice
