KS2 Teaching Assistant in Blackburn

A primary school situated on the outskirts of Blackburn have approached Teaching Personnel, the UK’s leading supply agency, for help with the recruitment of a Teaching Assistant with recent Key Stage 2 experience to begin work on a full-time basis from February 2021, once the necessary vetting checks are complete.
The Role…
The successful candidate will be based in a Lower Key Stage 2 class. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing lesson resources
- Carrying out administrative tasks
- Supporting small groups of children during lessons
- Creating displays
- Assisting the Class Teacher in the management of behaviour
- Delivering interventions
You will be appointed on a full-time basis (8:30 – 3:30, Mon – Fri) on a temporary contract from February 2021 until the end of the academic year, with a possibility of gaining a permanent contract following a successful period of probation.

The primary school in which this Teaching Assistant vacancy is situated is located on the outskirts of Blackburn. The school has consistently been graded ‘GOOD’ by Ofsted. The Successful Candidate…
To be successful in your application for this role, you must have:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above
- Recent experience working alongside pupils in Key Stage 2
- Child workforce DBS on the online update service (or willing to apply for a new DBS)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
