Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant required

The School

A faith School in Oswaldtwistle have approached Teaching Personnel as they require an experienced Teaching Assistant starting in November. This Primary school is larger than average and graded 'GOOD' by Ofsted. In the morning sessions you will be supporting small groups of children within Key Stage 2. You will be leading intervention sessions in the afternoon to boost children with their vocabulary as well as speech, communication and language. You will be given allocated time to plan the interventions and receive support from the class teacher with regards to the objectives. The Head Teacher would like to meet suitable candidates as well as carry out relevant observations.

The Head Teacher is looking for the following:

  • Level 2 or above qualification
  • An experienced KS2 Practitioner
  • Confident with delivering engaging interventions
  • Ability to work independently or part of a team
  • Superb behaviour management

The Teaching Assistant role:

  • Full time
  • Working across the Key Stage 2 classes
  • Leading booster sessions in the afternoon
  • General Teaching Assistant duties
  • Flexibility to work across different classes within KS2

Job Type: Full-time (Monday- Friday)

Salary: £9.50 - £12.50 per hour

Start date: Monday 4th November 2019

End date: Friday 24th July 2020
