Job Advert: KS2 Teaching Assistant – Sheffield (S6, S5, S35)
Location: Sheffield – S6, S5 & S35
Contract Type: Full-time or Part-time
Start Date: Immediate or January start
Salary: £90–£100 per day (depending on experience)
Teaching Personnel is looking to recruit a committed and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to support several partner primary schools across the S6, S5, and S35 areas of Sheffield. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping children thrive and eager to contribute to a supportive, engaging learning environment.
About the Role
As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons for pupils in Years 3–6

Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils who may need additional guidance
-
Assisting with classroom organisation and behaviour management
-
Helping to create a positive, inclusive learning environment
-
Supporting targeted intervention sessions
-
Preparing learning materials and assisting with general classroom duties
About You
We are looking for someone who:
-
Has experience working with children (school-based experience is highly desirable)
-
Is patient, confident, and committed to supporting pupils’ academic and personal development
-
Works well as part of a team and has strong communication skills
-
Brings enthusiasm and a positive approach to their work

Holds (or is willing to apply for) a DBS on the Update Service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
