A KS2 provision in East Manchester require a KS2 Teacher to start in January 2018 and to cover a long term sickness. There is a strong potential for this position to go permanent as the school are continuously creating new classes for pupils being referred to the school.

The class in particular is made up of between 8-11 pupils with some pupils are showing signs of undiagnosed speech and language needs and specific learning difficulties. This class has three very strong teaching assistants that are confident using team - teach as a method of both verbal and physical de-escalation. Challenging and confrontational behaviours are common therefore the school require a strong willed Teacher who can provide a flexible and differentiated approach to the curriculum. It would also be beneficial for the Teacher to have awareness of special educational needs and be aware of early stages of diagnosis.
