Position: English Graduate Teaching Assistant

Location: Wilmslow, Cheshire

Start Date: September 2023

Salary: £1,500 - £1,700 per month (depending on experience)

Are you an enthusiastic English graduate with a passion for literature and writing? Do you want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students who may have fallen behind their peers in English studies? If so, this is your opportunity to join a dedicated secondary school team in Wilmslow as an English Graduate Teaching Assistant.

Role Overview:

As an English Graduate Teaching Assistant, your role will be pivotal in supporting students who may be struggling in their English studies. You'll work closely with experienced teachers to provide personalized guidance, helping students build confidence and achieve academic success in English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer individual or small group support to students who require extra help in English.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and deliver tailored English lessons and interventions.
  • Monitor student progress, identify areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive and inspiring learning environment for students to thrive.
  • Assist in creating strategies to help students catch up with their peers in English studies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and guardians to ensure students receive comprehensive support.

Requirements:

  • A degree in English or a related field.
  • A strong passion for English language and literature.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience and empathy when working with students who may be struggling.
  • A genuine desire to help students overcome academic challenges in English.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
