We are currently looking for KS2 teachers to work through us at Teaching Personnel predominantly in the Loughborough area. This position will be working on a day to day supply basis.
Responsibilties
- Teaching all areas of the primary curriculum
- Taking responsibility for the progress of a class of primary-age pupils
- Organising the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment
- Planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class
- Motivating pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
- Maintaining discipline
- Preparing and marking work to facilitate positive pupil development
- Meeting requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils' development
- Providing feedback to parents and carers on a pupil's progress at parents' evenings and other meetings
- Coordinating activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, and supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
- Working with others to plan and coordinate work
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working within a primary school - but not essential, relevant experience will be considered
- A QTS within the UK - however oversea QTS will be considered
- Have previous experience working with children
- Have a DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
- A GCSE in English and Maths
- Calm and patient approach when working with children
- Have proven ability to work as a team
- maintain, form and develop strong professional relationships within our learning community
- Show a high level of commitment to, and enthusiasm for, the role
- Have energy, flexibility and drive
- Have high expectations for themselves and their pupils
