KS2 TA Intervention Role - BLACKBURN PRIMARY

The Role:

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a reputable Primary School in Blackburn who are hoping to source an inspirational Teaching Assistant to support small groups of lower attaining pupils in Year 6. This role will be working 3.5 hours per day from 8:45-12:15 five days per week supporting pupils with English and Maths up until the KS2 SATs, this is a new role which will most likely continue until July 2019 (as the Head teacher is keen to prepare the Year 5 children for next year in advance) with the potential to extend into the 2019/20 academic year on a long-term contract.

Your New School:

This is a one form entry Primary School easily accessible from surrounding areas such as Blackburn, Darwen, Accrington, Clitheroe and Bamber Bridge. Behaviour in school is exemplary and the Head teacher has expressed that they are hoping to secure a candidate who has previous experience of delivering interventions to small groups in order to close the gap between lower ability pupils and their peers. This role will be based across Year 5 and Year 6. The Head teacher is passionate about creating the best education possible for each pupil and is committed to contributing to each child achieving the best results possible.

To be considered for this role you must have experience working alongside children within the last 18 months, you also must have a relevant qualification - Level 2+. Core subject graduates will also be considered.
