Job description

This lovely school in Peckham are currently recruiting for a KS2 teaching assistant to begin in September. The school is high performing, currently ranked in the top 10% of the country for progress and are aiming to becoming even better. The school is currently in the process of completing a purposeful move from three forms to two forms to create greater play space and learning opportunities for their students.

The School is a short walk from the very well connected Peckham Rye station with links to the Overground, Southern, Southeastern and Thameslink lines. The school has vibrant links with the outside community which provide unique opportunities for their students, taking advantage their location on the borders of Camberwell and Peckham with close proximity to some of the capital's most exciting educational attractions.

The school has a focus on looking to the future and building a responsible and respectful next generation. They hope to shape children into responsible, respectful students who know how to uphold positive relationships and are ambitious life long learners.

In return, the successful candidate will have:

  • Degree or at least 2 years experience in a primary school
  • A good understanding of SEN and EAL Support
  • Proven track-record of good/outstanding evidence of the difference they make for children

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
