Part time intervention role (after school 3.30pm - 4.30pm)

Working across KS2

Primary School in Accrington

The role:

The role is to start in November 2020 and Head Teacher has said this role with be on a ongoing basis due based on catch up funding so initally this role will be until December 2020 and reviewed at this point. As this role is utilising the catch up funding, you will be delivering sessions after school (3.30pm - 4.30pm). The role will be to work alongside groups of children ranging from Year 3 - Year 6. The majority of the children will be working towards age related expectation, the Head Teacher is looking for a candidate who can boost groups of children in the core subjects (maths and English), bridging the gaps in learning as much as possible after the school closures. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the Stage 2 Curriculum. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher looking for a new challenge, equally it is suitable for an NQT looking to gain experience across a variety of year groups.

The school:

The primary school is average sized and the Head Teacher is keen to appoint a new member of staff ready to make a good impact. The children who attend school are mainly from the local area which is considered to be a mixed catchment, where the children are mainly working towards age related expectations. The Head Teacher is keen to introduce themselves to the suitable candidates before the start date, in the current situation and the school wanting to limit additonal staff in school this may be via a phone/ video call.
