Are you a dedicated and passionate teaching assistant looking for a rewarding role at a special educational needs school?

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for an SEN teaching assistant to work at a local Chester school that caters for pupils with a range of complex additional needs.

This role involves providing specialist one-to-one provision and delivering learning resources to small intervention groups, focusing on individualised learning targets. It is essential that every pupil is given the opportunity to develop their independent learning as well as social, emotional, and cognitive wellbeing. The pupils who attend this school have a range of learning disabilities, such as Autism, ADHD, developmental delay and language processing disorders. Therefore, it is imperative that the successful candidate is patient, resilient and maintains good knowledge of SEND.

This school caters for children and young adults aged 5-16 years and offers a varied curriculum that suits the needs of each child. The adapted curriculum aims to develop essential social skills and learning outcomes needed for post-16 life.

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be willing and able to apply for a DBS certificate.
  • Must be able to provide two recent professional references.
  • Experience working with children with additional needs.

Highlights of this role:

  • £1540 - £1800 per month paid through PAYE.
  • September 2023 start.
  • Full time, temporary role with the opportunity to become permanent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
