KS2 Behavioural Support Assistant - South Liverpool - September 2018

Working with a Year 4 student with behavioural needs, the role will start in September 2018 until the end of the academic year, however if the student responds well to the successful candidate there is a strong possibility of progressing up the school working with the student throughout the rest of their Primary education.

Ideally the successful candidate will have prior experience of working with pupils with behavioural needs and have some experience of team teaching as you will be required to help and support the teacher at certain times. However, your main focus is to support the pupil on a one-to-one basis, therefore you need to be committed, reliable and patient as the pupil can be physically challenging and easily distracted.

The primary school, graded as 'Good' by Ofsted, is located in the South Liverpool area and is easily accessible by public transport. The school prides itself on its supportive environment for both pupils and staff members alike. The Senior Leadership Team are keen to provide various CPD opportunities, providing staff numerous training courses to facilitate their development.

Successful candidates must possess the following;

  • A current DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to obtain one
  • Two professional references within the last three years
  • An attitude and professional committed to the safeguarding of young people
