Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit Key Stage 2 Behaviour Support Assistants to work in a school in Newton Aycliffe. We are looking for candidates who either have good levels of experience working with challenging pupils. Candidates must also be adaptable and pro-active to fit into the schools ethos. Your main responsibility will be to support the pupils on a one to one basis outside the classroom.

Teaching Personnel work in partnership with a variety of leading, nationally recognised CPD providers, such as National Association of SEN, National Autistic Society, Rush Miskin, Team Teach, Educare, Creative Education and Hexham Newcastle Diocese with additional local school partners. These partners deliver an extensive range of career developing opportunities to you, covering areas such as; Child Protection in Education, Prevent Duty, an accredited Holistic Approach to Behaviour Management, Understanding and Supporting Children and Adults on the Autism Spectrum, An Introduction to Special Educational Needs and Disability, Effective Adult Learning Support, Implications for Challenging Behaviour, Meeting the Emotional, Social and Mental Health Needs of Children and Young People, Differentiation, Data Handling, Assessment for Learning, Planning for Progression, Read Write Inc. and Safeguarding. In addition to this we work alongside many leaders of education and have our own ex-head teacher that provides candidates with bespoke, high-quality training. The CPD on offer will assist with your personal and career development, making you a highly sought after candidate.
