Are you looking for a new teaching assistant role?

Teaching Personnel is currently working with over 150 primary schools in Essex and Havering, and one welcoming and friendly primary school in the Havering area is searching for a teaching assistant to support a Year 5 pupil on a 1:1 basis. The school is a 2 form entry primary school and offering a fantastic variety of experience to be gained working with children from all backgrounds and alongside a number of experienced staff.

The successful candidate will have a calm nature, great communication skills and ideally recent experience or training working with primary school pupils with Special Educational Needs. Applications are welcomed from teaching assistants of all backgrounds who live locally or are able to travel to Thurrock for work and even graduates with little school experience but a proactive and positive personality will be considered!

To be considered for the role you will need to register with Teaching Personnel with your local Chelmsford Primary Specialist Consultant Chantal. This can be done by registering your details online on our website 24/7 or by applying via the link provided. To be considered for the role candidates must undergo an enhanced DBS check (if not already in possession of a Child Workforce DBS registered on the online update service) and be able to provide details of two references prior to registration.

As part of our continued commitment to providing our candidates with professional development Teaching Personnel will also offer you opportunities for continual professional development including courses such as; 'Team Teach', Introduction to SEN' and 'Autism Education Trust (AET) Level 1'!

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
