Teaching Personnel are working as a recruitment partner to help with the recruitment for a KS1 Teaching Assistant to work within a year 2 classes for the remainder of the academic year on a full time basis. The school are looking to fill the vacancy as soon as possible when the right fit for the school comes along.

The Primary school is based in the Bridport area. They are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate teaching assistant to be able to support the class teacher. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with working in KS1 and display a positive attitude with good understanding of the KS1 curriculum. As this is a SATs year for the year 2 pupils it is important that the school find the right fit in order to give the pupils the best support during this time.

The role will be mainly a general TA role but you will be expected to lead small group intervention for lower ability pupils and occasionally higher ability pupils. The small interventions will be in Maths, Reading and Writing in an effort to boost grades in the lead up to SATs. 1:1 interventions in reading with all pupils on a week by week basis will also be a key feature to the role.

The school has a warm and friendly feel with all the current members of staff extremely welcoming and supporting. It is important to the school that the candidate fit in well with both pupils and staff.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
