KS1 Teaching Assistant Required in Salford

Are you experienced supporting across KS1? Do you have a strong Phonics knowledge and a good understanding of the curriculum? Are you adaptable, flexible and a strong communicator? Are you a strong team player?
If so a larger than average primary school previously graded as Good by Ofsted, due to staffing restructuring, is looking to appoint a teaching assistant to join their KS1 team, predominately working within their year 2 class. The school is diverse and the class is made up of a range of different needs and abilities. The school is looking for someone who is keen to make a real impact and difference to pupils lives as well as someone who is looking to become a valued member of their KS1 team. The role will be to start as early as possible and would be to continue until Easter in the first instance, with the opportunity to be extended further for the right person.
In order to be successful you will need to:
- Have a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum.
- Have a strong knowledge of phonics.
- Be adaptable and flexible to different situations and pupils needs.
- Have experience supporting a range of different needs.
- Have examples of where you have been able to make a difference to pupils learning.
- Be understanding of individuals needs and backgrounds and be able to provide nurturing and caring support where needed.
