KS1 Teacher Required

Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a large 'Good' Primary school located in Southampton; this school are looking to appoint an experienced KS1 practitioner to cover maternity leave until the end of the academic year. The role will include all the responsibilities of a full time perm teacher; such as lesson planning, parents evening and assessing pupils. The Head teacher is looking to short list candidates as soon as possible so please don't delay in applying for this role.

The expectation for this role would be for the successful candidate to show commitment, and if they prove themselves the Head teacher has expressed there may be opportunity for a longer-term role with in the school for next academic year.


  • QTS
  • Available for full time work
  • Ability to go that 'extra mile' for the school and year group
  • Ability to deliver and assess Phonics


  • Core Subject Knowledge
  • Good behaviour management skills
  • Y2 experience

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
