Job description

Teaching Personnel is currently working alongside an 'Outstanding' Primary School in Teddington, Richmond, who require a Key Stage 1 Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in Year 2 with visual impairment and assist in the support and inclusion of the pupil with special educational needs. This role is part time, 30 hours per week, Monday to Thursday (8:35 am to 3:20 pm with 30 minutes for lunch, Friday 8:35am to 2:00pm with 30mins for lunch).

The successful candidate will develop an understanding of the specific needs of the pupil to be supported, aid the pupil to learn as effectively as possible, in group situations and individually, inside and outside of the classroom and provide support for the pupil's emotional and social development by encouraging and modelling positive behaviour, and using a range of appropriate strategies to support this.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
