Job Advert: KS1/KS2 Class Teacher – Sheffield (S4, S5, S6, S35)

Location: Sheffield – S4, S5, S6, S35
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time considered
Contract Length: Ongoing, with potential to become permanent
Salary: £120–£200 per day (dependent on experience)


About the Role

Teaching Personnel are seeking a committed and inspiring KS1/KS2 Class Teacher to work within several supportive and vibrant primary schools across the Sheffield S4, S5, S6, and S35 areas. This role is perfect for a teacher who is passionate about helping pupils achieve their potential and who thrives in a nurturing, diverse school environment.

Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and assess creative and engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum

  • Support the progress, wellbeing, and development of all pupils in your class

  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment

  • Work collaboratively with school staff, support assistants, and parents

  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management and promote positive learning attitudes

  • Participate in school events, meetings, and enrichment activities


Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching in KS1 or KS2 (including teaching placements)

  • Strong behaviour and classroom management skills

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply through Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
