Job description

We are looking for an Intervention Teacher to support KS1 in a primary school in Durham, Stanley.

We require a dedicated and motivational KS1 Teacher for a position at an Ofsted rated Good Primary school. The ideal candidate should have an affluent background in teaching KS1 pupils of mixed ability and have the drive to support and guide pupils to succeed and engage in their learning.

The school are looking to raise attainment with their KS1 pupils, with focused intervention sessions for Literacy, Numeracy and Phonics. The Senior Leadership Team are highly organised and very welcoming of new staff to the school. The position will begin in January and will initially last 1 school term in length but has potential to be extended.

In order to be considered for this position:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience teaching in KS1
  • Literacy and Numeracy Intervention experience
  • Knowledge of phonics
  • Passion and commitment to teaching
  • Available from January
