Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant - KS2 - Newcastle
March 2019 - Full Time for two terms
Would you like to join a thriving school currently seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant? Do you have experience and knowledge of Key Stage 2?
Teaching Personnel are seeking a vibrant Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant with a passion for assisting children in reaching their greatest potential. The role is within a two form entry Primary School based on the outskirts of Newcastle with excellent access to local transportation as well as a car park on school grounds. The School has a very supportive culture and provides a great opportunity for Teaching Assistants who are looking to gain experience and progress in their career. Recently marked 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, the School pride themselves in their engaging method of Teaching and aim to nurture the children's creativity. The position is Full Time for two terms with the possibility of leading on to a permanent position. The role involves assisting the Teacher to support and educate a class of 30 pupils who are currently making excellent progress working within KS2.
Essentials:
- Valid DBS (A Child Workforce that is accessible through the Update Service)
- Eligible to work in the UK (right to work in the UK documentation)
- Recent experience with Phonics
Details of role:
- Supporting the Class Teacher to educate 30 pupils who are currently responding brilliantly to the current curriculum
- Have an awareness of and work within school policies and procedures
- Full time role commencing 25th of March 2019
- Will be required to complete administrative duties, such as preparing classroom resources and assist in the preparation of lesson plans.
- Provide support to children who need additional help with their work
