Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant

  • Key Stage 2 experience essential

Job Type: Full-time (Monday – Friday, 8.45am-3.30pm)

Salary: GBP10.20 - GBP12.20 per hour

Start date: Wesnesday 1st September 2021

End date: Friday 22nd July 2022

A primary school have approached Teaching Personnel in order to source an experienced Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant. The Primary School is located in Burnley (BB12) and they are looking for a committed individual who can start after the summer holidays (September 2021) until the end of July 2022. The role is one that will require an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who is keen to make a difference in the classroom. You must have sound knowledge of the National Curriculum and expectations with Key Stage 2.

The class is average sized with children from varied backgrounds. The role is to support the whole class and work with different ability groups during Maths and English sessions. Three afternoons a week you would be required to support the children who are working ‘Towards Age Related Expectations’ and deliver booster sessions for Maths and English to ensure they reach their full potential.

The Head teacher is looking for the following:

  • Level 2 or above qualification
  • An experienced KS2 Practitioner
  • Confident with delivering engaging interventions
  • Consistent behaviour management
