New January teaching opportunity in Leeds (full-time)
A school we work closely with at Teaching Personnel are looking for a Fully Qualified Teacher to start as soon as possible to fill a long-term absence position which may lead to a permanent contract starting from the new year (January 2020). This role will be starting after the Christmas break on 6th January 2020 and will be full-time at least until the end of the academic year- July 2020. This role is in a Lower Key Stage 2 class and candidates applying for this role must have recent experience in Lower Key Stage 2 for a minimum of 12 months.
About the school
Rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted, this school lies within the heart of Leeds, LS8. This particular school are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated teacher who can help raise pupil attainment in all core subjects across the Lower KS2 curriculum. The school are looking for a new teacher who has recent experience in Lower KS2 and who is interested in running new initiatives to help pupils progress to their maximum potential. This may involve delivering other Interventions such as; Literacy, Numeracy and Behaviour. The Head Teacher has been in post for around 6 years and always gives 100% into all of her staff meeting adn training to ensure that everyone is happy and given the support they need.
About Teaching Personnel
Teaching Personnel works closely with Leeds Trinity University which provides our candidates with the knowledge and skills they need to develop both personally and professionally as a teacher. Opportunities and key skills courses run all year round for candidates to name a few; Literacy and Mathematical Development across the Curriculum, Planning and questioning for progression, Early Reading and Phonics and Effective Behaviour management!

- Candidates must be available school hours and flexible with day to day and long-term work
- Candidates must have a positive attitude and have experience working with young people in a primary education environment
- Candidates must be enthusiastic and confident when working with primary school aged children of all levels and abilities
- Candidates need to be open to trial days and providing interventions for the school to improve and increase their pupil attainment and engagement levels
- Candidates need to show responsibility for their own learning as well as personal and professional development through experience, qualifications and trainings
- Candidates must be able to work as a team and individually
- Candidates must have an up-to-date CV and a 6 year career history
