Are you a KS2 specialist teacher?
We are currently recruiting for a KS2 teacher to work at a school in Penzance after February half term. You will need to have excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
Due to students learning being disturbed this academic year due to COVID it is important that these students are given the best education possible to help them with their move up to secondary school. It is important that you have the ability to make learning engaging and bring teamwork into the classroom to encourage the student’s communication skills.
You will have the support of the teaching assistants within the classroom, you will need to communicate with them on the students progress and plan which students need some extra 1:1 or group work support. You will also need to communicate with the head, SENCO, and parents on student’s progress. Learning will need to be made engaging and interesting to help the students to focus and stay on task. it is important to the school that there are outdoor learning opportunities for students.
You will also be required to make their transition to secondary school as smooth as possible by communicating to both the students and the parents about the school which they are going to and preparing them with the knowledge that they will need. It is important that this is made exciting for them and that they are fully prepared.
You will need to be aware of Child Protection, Health and Safety, Behaviour, Teaching and Learning and Equal Opportunities policies. You will also need a Child Workforce DBS which can be completed during the recruitment process.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
