Key Stage Key 2 Teacher

An opportunity to work in a forward-thinking Primary School has arisen in the Blackburn area. The position is due to start after Christmas, until the end of the academic year. The role will give responsibility to a primary teacher for the entirety of a secondment. The successful applicant will plan and deliver for a Year 4 class throughout the Spring and Summer term. This will be a full time role and the expectation will be that you plan and deliver as well as assess in line with the KS2 objectives. The class consists of 29 children and the majority of the children are working at age related expectation. The successful applicant will be expected to hit the ground running and quickly develop strong working relationships with the children. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will be one who has prior experience working in lower KS2, the Head Teacher has mentioned that they will be happy to consider Newly Qualified Teachers who have completed placements and/or supply work in KS2 classes. There is the capacity in school to support a Newly Qualified Teacher though parts of their NQT induction, so please feel to apply for this position if you are scheduled to complete your final placement in the coming weeks.

The school is located in Blackburn meaning it is commutable by car and public transport. The Head Teacher has already noted that the successful candidate will be given half termly opportunities to observe more senior members of staff across school as well as offering continuous professional development internally and externally. As this is a temporary role, you will be paid on a weekly basis and you will be supported through Teaching Personnel; with a specialist consultant to work alongside. There will also be opportunities to attend a range of continuous professional development opportunities through Teaching Personnel across the expected time period. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
