Key Stage 2 Phase Leader

Role

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Fully Qualified or Newly Qualified Teacher for a full-time teaching / Phase Leader post starting in the new academic year (3rd September 2018). The school is located in LS7 just a short journey away from the Leeds City Centre with regular public transport links to and from the school. The school currently has 238 children across the Key Stage 2 Phase with 50% of these children who speak English as an Additional Language. This role will be 4 days of teaching and 1 day (spread across the week) for Phase Leader duties.

Ideal candidate

The school are looking for a:

• Fully qualified or Newly qualified teacher who has recent experience teaching in KS2
• Minimum of 1 year experience (ideally in Key Stage 2)
• SATs experience (not compulsory)
• Available full-time
• Previous TLR (not essential)
• DBS

School

The school received 'Good' at its last Ofsted in 2017 and last year received above 70% in the Key Stage 2 SATs. Numeracy and Reading are both subjects which the Key Stage 2 Phase struggle with and currently the school have implemented the Singapore Maths Scheme and more time for Guided Reading. As a Phase Leader you will be required to bring your own ideas / schemes to the school in order to help increase pupil attainment across the Key Stage 2 Phase.
